Banana bread is one of those things that people rarely on purpose. Even though you know you're not going to eat seven bananas in a week, you buy the big bunch in any case because "it is a sort of green." Now the last three bananas are nearly black and you feel like a bad person.
Why compromise the banana flavor? This banana bread is moist and delicious with loads of banana flavor! Your friends and family love my recipe and say it's by far the best! It's wonderful toast! Have fun!

Items to cook


2 1/3 cups mashed overripe bananas
2 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 cups all-purpose flour


How to Prepare:


  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease a loaf pan 9x5 inches.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda and salt. In another bowl, cream together the butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and mashed bananas until well blended. Stir banana mixture into flour mixture and stir just until moistened. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  3. Bake in preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean oven. Let the bread cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack.
